1. Overview
- TD Series Three-Phase Synchronous Motors: Designed specifically for rolling mills, with full-voltage startup. If the grid capacity is insufficient, it can be started with a reduced voltage.
- Manufacturing Standards: Complies with GB755 “Basic Technical Requirements for Rotating Electrical Machines” and JB8/DQ3449 “Technical Conditions for TK Series Large Three-Phase Synchronous Motors”.
2. Operating Environment

3. Structure and Features
- Shaft Extension: Cylindrical shaft extension, generally rotates counterclockwise, but can be customized to rotate clockwise.
- Excitation System: Uses a thyristor excitation device, allowing full-voltage direct start.
- Stator Leads: Six leads (U1, V1, W1, U2, V2, W2), using high-voltage rubber cables extending from the lower part of the frame, with an option for a junction box connection.
- Ventilation Method: Open natural ventilation or fully enclosed duct ventilation.
4. Major Components
- Frame: Welded steel plate, with the outlet located at the lower part of the frame.
- Stator: The stator core is made of 0.5 mm thick low-loss silicon steel sheet, with formed double-stack short-distance coils and B or F grade insulation. The temperature rise is assessed by B grade standards.
- Rotor: The poles are made of stamped steel plates, assembled with the pole coils on the rotor yoke. The pole coils use B or F grade insulation.
5. Applications
- Mainly used for driving large AC three-phase synchronous motors for mining mills, including grid-type ball mills, rod mills, and coal mills.
