Xi’an Taifu Simar ZBL4 series fully enclosed direct-cooled DC motor takes ZBL4-180-21 as an example: Z represents DC motor, BL represents fully enclosed self-cooled type, 4: represents the fourth series design, 180 represents the motor center height (180 mm), 2 represents the core length code is 2, and 1 represents the end cover code.

Motor Overview
Xi’an Taifu Simar ZBL4 series fully enclosed direct-cooled DC motor adopts a fully laminated frame, so it is suitable for the working conditions of stationary rectifier power supply and can withstand the current change rate that the integral frame cannot reach. The stator adopts an octagonal structure with extremely high space utilization rate. The magnetic poles are accurately installed and positioned and designed with computer assistance to properly control the electrical parameters. Therefore, the commutation performance of the motor is good. The outer surface of the frame has special heat dissipation ribs, which increase the effective heat dissipation surface area of the motor. Thus, the output power under the effective volume of the motor is improved.
The motor uses F-grade insulation material. The insulation structure is novel and reliable, ensuring stable insulation performance and good heat dissipation.
Motors with rated voltages of 400 volts or 440 volts can operate stably for a long time under the condition of three-phase fully controlled bridge rectifier power supply and without an external DC smoothing reactor. Motors with a rated voltage of 160 volts are powered by a single-phase bridge rectifier power supply. At this time, to suppress the pulsating current, a DC smoothing reactor must be connected in the motor circuit, and its inductance value can be found in the technical data sheet.
The installation dimensions of this series of motors, except for the axial dimension “B” between the two bottom foot holes, comply with the international standard IEC72.

Motor Characteristics and Applications
Xi’an Taifu Simar ZBL4 series fully enclosed direct-cooled DC motor is a newly developed product based on the Z4 series forced air-cooled DC motor. In addition to having the characteristics of the original Z4 series motor, such as small size, light weight, and large output power, and being fully suitable for stationary integrated current power supply, it also has a closed casing and is therefore particularly suitable for places such as dust and metal chips.

Motor Performance

1. The data in the technical data sheet should work under the following usage conditions:
   a. The altitude does not exceed 1000 meters;
   b. The surrounding air temperature is not more than 40 degrees Celsius;
   c. The working environment should not contain acidic, alkaline or other gases that are corrosive to insulation;
   d. The motor is of continuous working system (S1);
   e. The armature circuit and excitation circuit of the motor can be powered by a stationary rectifier power supply or a DC generator;
   f. The performance of this series of motors complies with the national standard GB755-87 “Basic Technical Requirements for Rotating Electrical Machines” and is also assessed in reference to the requirements of the International Electrotechnical Commission standard IEC34-1 or the German national standard DIN57530.
2. The standard rated voltage of the motor is 160 volts and 440 volts, and 220 volts, 400 volts or other voltages can also be derived according to specific circumstances;
3. The rated speeds of the motor are 3000, 1500, and 750 revolutions per minute, totaling 4 gears. Reducing the excitation voltage is constant power speed regulation, and the speed regulation range can be found in the technical data sheet. Reducing the armature voltage is constant torque speed regulation. Under the condition of continuous armature current, its minimum speed is 20 revolutions per minute. At this time, the rated torque can still be maintained, and the speed is stable;
4. The standard excitation voltage is 180 volts, and other excitation voltages can also be negotiated. To ensure the reliability of the insulation of the excitation system, when disconnecting the excitation circuit, a release resistor must be connected in parallel at both ends of the excitation winding to prevent the self-induced potential. When the excitation voltage is the standard value, its value is approximately seven times the resistance of the excitation winding (cold state). When the excitation voltage is higher than the standard value, the parallel release resistance value can be less than seven times, and vice versa.
5. The outgoing line box of the motor provides a grounding sign terminal;
6. The efficiency value in the technical data sheet is the efficiency at rated power, rated voltage and speed, and it includes excitation loss.

Structural Introduction of ZBL4 Series Fully Enclosed Direct-Cooled DC Motor

1. The protection level of the motor is IP44;
2. The cooling method of the motor is IC0041 fully enclosed self-cooled type;
3. The installation method of the motor complies with the international GB997-81 regulations, including IMB3, IMB5, IMB35, IMV1, IMV15, IMV3IMV36, etc.;
4. The outer surface of the motor casing has heat dissipation ribs, and the outgoing line box is above the end cover on the commutator side;
5. Accessories such as a tachogenerator and encoder can be equipped on the non-rotating side of the motor.

Ordering Instructions for ZBL4 Fully Enclosed Direct-Cooled DC Motor

1. Before ordering, please first consult the Simar Motor product sample to determine the model, specification and other data of the required product. Try to select the standard specification products listed in the sample. Please indicate the model, power, voltage, rotational speed, excitation mode, excitation voltage and structural installation form of the motor in the order contract, such as ZDT2-450-3 500KW 440V 650r/min separately excited 220V, horizontal with bottom feet or IMB3.
2. When there are special requirements for the motor products, such as double shaft extensions, reverse position of the outgoing line box, reverse rotation of the shaft, etc., they must be clearly indicated in the contract.
3. If the required variety and specification are not listed in the Simar Motor sample, or there are other special requirements, a contract or trial production agreement shall be signed after mutual negotiation and agreement.
4. For all kinds of products, except for the shaft extension key of the motor, all accessories are not within the supply range. If the user needs accessories or spare parts, such as brushes and brush holders, please indicate the name and quantity of the required accessories or spare parts in the contract in advance.
